This is a very hard time. I cried last week. Hope you are staying safe.

I feel you about isolation. I am not the type who likes to be in all the time. I love to go out and everything. I agree with you – it is hard to ask for employees to be completely efficient right now. There are lots of concern and bigger things to be mindful of, like finding ways to minimize the spread of the virus. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this!

I can really resonate with this!!
Also – this part! -> If the boss asks for 100 things, many of us are inclined to do 101. And then the boss will ask for 110, because you showed that you can and also that you have the Ā«talentĀ» to work under pressure. We are slaves to cortisol. – So true!
I started a new job just this week and throughout the past four months of job search I was ‘working’ more than a full time job doing things on my own at home. Having struggled with work/life balance in the past, I am really trying to fit as much of my old routine into my new work week. It’s tough but it’s so important, otherwise your life just becomes about work. Exercise for example it helps us feel good mentally and physically, as difficult as it is to bring yourself to workout in a work day it’s so important in order to look after ourselves. The other side I have found is doing things just because you enjoy them – I have hobbies, but they usually have a business purpose attached. what do you do that you just do for pure enjoyment? – really got me thinking about these things over the past couple of months.

Ah yes it is a double edged sword for sure. Having more free time in a conflict but then being isolated and not having an income. I guess all we can do is take it one day at a time.

I understand how you feel. This certainly has been a time of mixed emotions and not really feeling sure what I should be doing. I think we can only take one day at a time and be kind to ourselves. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I hope you are doing okay ⤠xx

Hola!

It’s a hard time and I’m sure it’s made everyone reflect in one way or another. I am that person who bakes cakes and tries to keep the dog as clean as possible, but I slack a little in some other areas. I loved this section ‘If the boss asks for 100 things, many of us are inclined to do 101. And then the boss will ask for 110, because you showed that you can and also that you have the Ā«talentĀ» to work under pressure. We are slaves to cortisol.’ – it’s so true and it can put us under such strain, but it can also be used to better ourselves ad improve depending on our outlook x
